Tada!

The IPD-Clearview crosswalk is up and running. Great to see cars stopping for kids crossing IPD to get to school this morning.

Many thanks to Geoff/Tom, City staff, the NCC and many others who helped make it happen, including Sam Mizrahi who agreed to pay for it all.

Halloween Pumpkin and House Decoration Contest Winners

The votes are in and the winners for the Champlain Park Halloween decorating contests are:

Best decorated house: 244 Keyworth – The Keyworth Institute Night Care!

An impressive immersive experience including creepy decorations, an award-winning scary Chucky doll performance, invitations to pet spooky rats, etc…that certainly sent many of us home with nightmares…

[Driveway scene with scary kid actors]

Best decorated pumpkin: 20 Clearview – with an impressive 4 decorated pumpkins including a dog skeleton and a Picasso woman.

It was a very tough competition this year with dragons, zombies, ghosts, witches and ill-fated mannequins entertaining the residents of Champlain Park!

Congrats to the winners and a big thank you to all those who participated in the contest either by decorating their houses and pumpkins or by voting for their favourites.

And finally a heartfelt thank you to the Wellington West BIA for their donation of the prizes: each winner received a $50 gift certificate to a Wellington West business of their choice.

Up next: Stay tuned for future posts on the 2nd annual Champlain Park Holiday house decorating contest and the Holiday Charity Auction.
