The CPCA Board makes financial and other types of decisions as “a collective” through Community Project Proposals (CPP) and specific motions. None of the board members have the authority to make decisions or to allocate monies independently.

The Role of Directors on the board is: To carry out business functions (finances, insurance, meeting agendas, minutes etc.) and to provide oversight and coordination in our areas of operation (Social, Environmental, Planning & Zoning).

  4. Planning, Zoning and Environmental Policies Chair
  5. Secretary

  7. Social coordinator
  8. Fieldhouse coordinator

Election process:

  • Anyone can put their name forward for any position above (email champlainpark@gmail.com for more information, in advance of the AGM preferred)
  • people can also put their names forward at the AGM
  • if more than one person puts their name forward for a position then an election would take place for that position at the AGM (each candidate would have 2 minutes to present then would go forward to a vote)
  • people who put their names forward and anyone who votes needs to be a member (see https://champlainpark.org/membership-drive/ to join)

  • Environment activities volunteers
  • Social Event lead volunteers
  • Our representatives at the FCA, K9, and other groups
  • Volunteers for all else: newsletter, web, members of committees, etc…
  • Info management (google drive/docs)
  • security / neighbourhood watch
