Job Matchmaker

This is a list of local residents, some are workers who want to do a casual job (such as snow shovelling), and others are employers who have a job that needs doing. Hopefully they can find each other through this list. There’s also a paper version of this listing occasionally published in the Champlain Speaker.

For anonymity reasons we now have a matchmaker volunteer (MatchMakerCPCA@gmail.com) who will be the optional point of contact when privacy is desired (such as for young babysitters who shouldn’t have their phone/text number or e-mail made public, yes there were complaints about creepy phone calls). If you wish to, you can still provide separate contact information for the paper edition (fairly safe) and/or web page (less safe).

Terms of using this service

β€œCommunity website” refers to the Champlain Park Community website – champlainpark.org.

The Community website publishes the names and contact information of workers and employers as a service and convenience to the community. We occasionally also do a paper listing distributed only to neighbourhood residents.

All work arrangements are strictly between the employer and the worker.

The function of the Community website is only to advertise a list of workers and employers.

The Community website does not endorse or recommend workers or employers. It is the responsibility of the people involved to interview, screen, do reference checks etc. prior to the work starting.

The Community website takes no responsibility or liability for the use of the information on this website, including any transactions or dealings between workers and employers.
