About the CPCA Board
See the organization chart for details about each board position.
The CPCA Board makes financial and other types of decisions as “a collective” through Community Project Proposals (CPP) and specific motions. None of the board members have the authority to make decisions or to allocate monies independently.
The Role of Directors on the board is to provide oversight and coordination in our areas of operation (see the community plan for a list of our goals and the committees working on each goal).
The Committee Chairs must be Directors, but volunteers who are not board members are welcome to contribute to the work of any committee. Contact the webmaster, who will connect you with the appropriate director.
Board Structure for the November 5, 2025 CPCA Election
- The CPCA Board of Directors will consist of 13 Elected positions for fiscal 2025/26
- Positions are included to cover business and communications functions and areas of operation listed in the community plan (updated annually).
- Committee Chairs will ensure that required tasks are done in their area of operation, coordinate a team of other volunteers if applicable, and communicate with the board as a whole regarding issues and required decisions (committees cannot make decisions independently; but they can advise the board.)
- After familiarizing themselves with the work of the Board, Members at Large must contribute to the work of the board by taking on at least one task or committee role
- The ONCA legislation states that one person may occupy more than one position. However, each individual will have only 1 vote.
