Land Use Planning Workshop – November 21

From: ynaqvi.mpp.co@liberal.ola.org
Subject: Land Use Planning Workshop
Date: Thu, 7 Nov 2013 20:55:15 +0000

Dear Friends,

As you are aware, the Government of Ontario is currently reviewing the way cities and towns plan for development and how to help pay for it. We want to ensure that the land use plan and appeals systems, including the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB), and the development charges system are predictable, transparent and cost-effective, and are consulting with the general public, municipalities and stakeholders on this topic through regional workshops, online, by email and in writing.

As you know, our community has a special interest in this matter. I, along with you, am committed to pursuing solutions which would help in creating a level playing field in planning and development matters, and towards building a sustainable community for us all.

In this regard, I am pleased to let you know that on Thursday November 21, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing will be hosting a workshop in our community. This event will be taking place at Carleton University from 6:00pm to 9:30pm. This is an opportunity for residents, community associations, and businesses to get involved in this process.

Location: Residence Commons Conference Room, Carleton University, 1125 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa
Time: 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm

To view the agenda, and to RSVP please click here.

I hope you can participate in this session to ensure that our community’s experience and feedback is taken under consideration as part of this review.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Yasir
