Guest Speaker – Jeff Leiper, Councillor and Planning and Housing Committee Chair, will speak on the impacts of provincial zoning rules and Ottawa’s proposed comprehensive zoning bylaw and how they might affect Champlain Park (40 minutes including questions).

Election Procedures
The CPCA Board makes financial and other types of decisions as “a collective” through Community Project Proposals (CPP) and specific motions. None of the board members have the authority to make decisions or to allocate monies independently.

Details:
- Anyone can put their name forward for any position above (email champlainpark@gmail.com for more information, in advance of the AGM preferred)
- people can also put their names forward at the AGM
- if more than one person puts their name forward for a position then an election would take place for that position at the AGM (each candidate would have 2 minutes to present then would go forward to a vote)
- people who put their names forward and anyone who votes needs to be a member (see https://champlainpark.org/membership-drive/ to join)

Despite the freezing rain ice, the meeting was well attended, with maybe more people in person than online! Some new faces and board members too. We’ll update the web site listings in a couple of weeks when a few pending things are settled.
