Canadian Organic Growers is hosting the Organic Master Gardener Course in Ottawa again this Fall. The course runs for three weekends, both Saturday and Sunday October 17-18, November 7-8, and November 28-29 from 10am-4pm. The course location will be COG’s National Office at The Royal Ottawa Hospital, 1145 Carling Ave. Ottawa. The cost is $670 (+HST) early bird price (until September 25) and $720 (+HST) regular price.     Please share the below information with your networks regarding the upcoming Organic Master Gardener course.

    Canadian Organic Growers will once again be offering the Organic Master Gardener course in Ottawa this winter.

    The Organic Master Gardener Course is designed for urban growers, community gardeners, landscapers, municipal parks personnel, environmental advocates, naturalists and conservationists. Please note, you will need weekly access to a computer and the internet for some course materials.

    Topics include: botany & adaptations within ecosystems, soil ecosystem, soil testing, mulches and compost teas/brews, garden bed installation, soil fertility management, water-wise gardening, pruning, turf, landscape health, Permaculture design, organic standards.     Learn to create healthy food and ornamental gardens without pesticides and harmful chemicals.

    Dates: Wednesdays, January 20 to April 20
    Time: 6:15pm – 8:45pm
