Community Project Proposal (CPP)

Terms and Conditions

By accepting support of any kind by the Champlain Park Community Association (CPCA) for a given project activity the proponent accepts the following terms and conditions:

  • All activities will be legal and proper care will be taken in carrying out the project activity
  • Permission will be sought from the property owner and any neighbours (if relevant or necessary) where the project activity will take place.  Give your CPP Co-ordinator a copy of permits and permission letters (parks permit for City property, NCC Land Access Permit for NCC areas, letter of permission from owner of other kinds of property).
  • The appropriate CPP – Project Activity Disclaimer Form must be completed prior to any volunteer work being started on a project activity that takes place on a owners property
  • Any children will be appropriately supervised by adults or by an assigned guardian. Advertisements must include the phrase “Children must be accompanied by adults”.
  • For projects activities with higher risk activity that could lead to injuries to persons involved, a fuller description of the activity will be needed and proper mitigation measures will be taken to lessen the risk
  • If hiring companies (like a sleigh ride) you must obtain their third party liability certificate (must include “additional insureds” of City of Ottawa, Champlain Park Community Association) and submit it before the event to the CPP Co-ordinator.
  • The proponent or other people involved in the project activity accept that the CPCA will not be held liable for any injuries or damages that may occur due to that project activity
