Meeting on Rezoning 10 Garrison from R1 to R4UC – March 5

A virtual public meeting is planned for March 5 at 6:30 that will consider quite a drastic change for a residential street right next to the Metro grocery store in our neighbourhood.

The property owner at 10 Garrison Street is applying for a zoning bylaw change to construct a three-story low-rise apartment building with 10 units. The current single, detached home would be demolished (just north of Wellington Street and west of Western Avenue). The applicant will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Champlain Park likely will be dealing with this kind of request for spot rezonings in the near future.
