The City is collaborating with Community Associations for Environmental Sustainability to host an in-person climate resiliency workshop next month at the Hintonburg Community Centre. The event will be held on May 23 from 7-9 pm focusing on what’s needed in the ward to be prepared for climate change impacts. It’s part of a city-wide series to help inform the upcoming climate resiliency strategy.

Today I’m writing to let you know about an exciting event coming up in Ward 15 that I hope you’ll be able to attend! Hintonburg, Mechanicsville, Wellington Village and Champlain Park Community Associations and CAFES are hosting a Climate Resiliency Community Dialogue the evening of May 23rd.
As this past April’s ice storm demonstrated, we need to be preparing our communities for climate-related impacts like extreme weather events. But how can individuals, communities and the City prepare? Join us for a Climate Resiliency Community Dialogue to learn about climate impacts, discuss your concerns and share your thoughts on building resiliency to these impacts.
