Planting Programs
The City of Ottawa, Ecology Ottawa, Forêt Capital Forest, and other groups offer advice and resources to plant trees on private and public lands.
Ottawa’s Trees in Trust PDF tells you how to get on the list to have a free, street-side tree planted. The program is popular, so sign up early for fall 2022!

The Ottawa Urban Tree Manual, drafted by the Glebe Community Association and CAFES, offers detailed descriptions of trees adapted to Ottawa, and tips on selection.
