Yoga in the Park – July 9 to September 10

[Westboro Champlain Park Outdoor Yoga Series title]

10-Week Outdoor Yoga Series

The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’ or “to connect’.​

What better way to find connection than to practice yoga in a way that connects you to the natural world around you? To breathe in the fresh summer air, to enjoy the sound of the birds in the sky and the wind rustling the leaves in the trees — that is true connection.

You’re invited to Champlain Park this summer, to enjoy this magic for yourself! This lovely morning class will help you wake up with intention + connection. You will be guided through a Hatha yoga class that will help strengthen + stretch the body by sinking into the sensations of the body instead of the overthinking mind.

​All Yoga with Carolynne classes focus on cozy + accessible yoga, so all body shapes + mobility levels are welcome!

Dates: Fridays | July 9 to September 10
Time: 9:30AM to 10:30AM
Location: Champlain Park — Corner of Cowley & Clearview Ave.
Cost: $115 for Series / $15 per Drop-in

Yoga in the Park!

Yoga instructor, Carolynne Colbeck who lives in the neighbourhood has stepped forward to offer the following yoga practices below and is issuing a Yoga survey to potentially offer future Yoga offerings outside in the Park (Spring/Summer) and in the Fieldhouse (Fall – timing COVID dependant)  

Please complete the Champlain Park Yoga Survey  indicating your preferences in helping to determine these future class offerings by February 28, 2021, many thanks in advance.

City Facilities & Fieldhouse Closed due to COVID-19

All activities in the Champlain Park Fieldhouse have been cancelled as of March 16 2020 and until further notice, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

You will advised once the fieldhouse facilities are back in operation and the activities resume.
