The Champlain Park community usually has a garage sale on the first weekend in June, held at the same time as Island Park Drive’s one. Conveniently there is a city give-away weekend soon after or on the same weekend, for left-overs.

Garage Sale

The 2023 Kitchissipi Ward-wide Garage Sale is scheduled to happen on Saturday, June 3, starting at 8AM (usually ending around 1pm but it can go longer). This year our city councillor Jeff Leiper is hosting a map of sale locations. Write to him if you want to be added, but it’s not necessary.

Kitchissippi Community-wide Garage Sale on Saturday June 4 2022

Start getting those treasures ready!

The annual community-wide garage sale is just around the corner, which is exactly where you hope all those treasures will end up!

The sale generally begins at 8 a.m. and usually winds up about 1 p.m.

Rain date is Sunday June 5.

Residents of other community associations in Kitchissippi Ward will be holding their sale on the same day.

Please also considered donating a portion of your proceeds to the charity of your choice.

Leftover treasures

Should you have any leftover gems, keep in mind that the following weekend is not Ottawa’s Spring Give Away Weekend (the city has discontinued it). Though you may still put things out on the afternoon of the sale and mark them as Free, or use one of the matchmaking services to find someone who wants your items.

Residents of Island Park Drive usually hold their sale on the same day.

Please also considered donating a portion of your proceeds to the charity of your choice, or to help support Champlain Park Community Association (CPCA).

Should you have any leftover gems, keep in mind that the following weekend is Ottawa’s Spring Give Away Weekend.

Ottawa’s Spring Give Away Weekend will take place the weekend after the garage sale (June 10 & 11 2017).

Garage Sale – August 27

Some of our neighbours on Patricia are holding a reprise garage sale on Saturday, August 27th, due to the cold and rainy June sale. They encourage others to do the same on that day.

If you’re interested and wish a bit of publicity, send the street address of your sale to the Champlain Park Webmaster (champlainpark@hotmail.ca) and we’ll post a list of garage sale locations closer to the date.

Community Garage Sale – June 11

Yes, it’s that time of year again!

Time to buy back all that stuff you sold to your neighbour last year, but at twice the price.

We are planning to hold the community-wide garage sale again this year. As usual, it will be held on the first Saturday in June. Well, maybe not quite the first Saturday, but close to it!

Event date: Saturday June 11, 2016.
Rain date: Should it be pouring rain, the sale is moved to Sunday, June 12.

Residents on Island Park usually hold their garage sale at this time as part of this community-wide bargain hunters dream!

Think about donating a portion of your proceeds to the charity of your choice, or to help support Champlain Park Community Association.

If you have leftover treasures when the garage sale ends keep in mind that the Ottawa’s Spring Give Away Weekend will take place the same weekend as the garage sale (both days).
