Over the last six years, I’ve frequently been asked questions related to how the city is planned and the infrastructure we need paid for. Cycling advocates in particular wonder how and when funding decisions get made, and according to what priorities.
On paper, city planning is elegant. On February 9, I’ll be using a case study approach to explore in just 15 slides how cities in Ontario are planned, the funding mechanisms that support that planning, and who decides where the money is spent and when. While cycling infrastructure will be the focus, the material is equally applicable to virtually everything the City does.
Join me for an hour and half from 7-8:30 for this free webinar to explore in easy-to-understand terms the big strokes of city planning and how those become funding decisions for projects and initiatives big and small. You’ll learn and have the chance to ask questions about when the key decisions are made and who you need to influence to achieve the outcomes that you want.
