A few photos from near the neighbourhood yesterday…
New sidewalk beside the transitway is now ready for the public (saw people on it the day after). Dug up, re-gravelled underneath and paved. It seems slightly wider, or maybe that’s the new painted lane line. But no more brick speed stripes (or whatever you call those lines across the path with spacing decreasing closer to an intersection). Also no more 1cm diameter holes from missing stones in the old asphalt, so luggage wheels will be able to survive.
Scott Street eastbound is now all dug up from Island Park Drive eastwards, for sewer maintenance. Best bet to get into the neighbourhood is go westbound on Scott and turn right at a bridge, or come north on Carleton and take advantage of the traffic lights there.
They’ve finished digging the foundation and now the building is going upwards at the Mizrahi site. Construction crane at Island Park Drive and Wellington.
