Someone had told me about this, and I suggest it gets wider distribution, as I don’t see why it has to be an exec member.  I would invite any interested community member to go ahead and respond to this invitation.

Subject: Request for Participation – Near West Accommodation

TO: Champlain Park Community Association Executive

Good Afternoon

The Ottawa Carleton District School Board has initiated an accommodation review to address overcrowding/enrolment pressures at both Devonshire and Elmdale Public Schools.

The Board motion approving the study recommended that local community associations be invited to participate on the working committee.

As such, we are inviting a representative from the Champlain Park Community Association to join the working committee.

Representatives from 10 area schools and 6 other local community associations have been invited to sit on the committee.

A first meeting (Meet & Greet get together) of the group has now been Tentatively scheduled for:

Wednesday December 12, 2012
6:00 pm 2nd Floor Mezzanine
Ottawa-Carleton District School Board
133 Greenbank Road

Thank you for your attention to this matter and we hope to hear from you soon.

Regards.
